Happy New Year!

In our 2019 we have explored new places, met new people and continued to work in areas dear to us.

The construction site of Prossima Apertura has started, which will be the new square in Aprilia (Italy) with its 8000 square meters; simultaneously, focus groups, laboratories and our research projects have started in and out of the construction site to build together the future community of the square.

In the meantime, we continued to work alongside Ludovica Carbotta in the new episodes of the “Monowe” project, between Rome, Turin and the Venice Biennale; while in Rome we continued our work on Largo Bartolomeo Perestrello with the new project “L’Argo“.
Meanwhile in Piedmont, ARCA with Zooart continued its urban journey as every year in search of energies and potential spaces to be transformed.

Summer brought us back to the India Theater in Rome with a new phase of India Estate, but also to the IUAV in Venice as WAVe tutors, in which we imagined a collective future for the Ex Pepe Barracks.

On several occasions we have returned in Belmonte Calabro together with Le Seppie, where Casa Belmondo was born, a permanent learning center that we are building within the Ex-Casa delle Monache (and which will also see us celebrating the New Year’s Eve!).

At the same time, in Cologne (Germany) we worked with Cityleaks on the reactivation of abandoned spaces in the railway viaduct of the Ehrenfeld area. While in Rome we were developing “Tools for Playground”, a tool kit to transform public space into a playground, which led us to the MAXXI in Rome and to the Oslo Triennale.

We went back to Piedmont again, this time in Levice, and together with a.titolo, Collectif Etc and Superterrain we imagined and transformed the Baia Blanca, an abandoned discotheque.

We have many things planned for 2020 and we can’t wait to share them with you.

Happy New Year to everyone!
