How can architecture supported by research and new technologies be used to improve the cultural, social and economical fabric of rural communities? The projects aims to create a small but effective way of bringing disparate social groups together across abuilding threshold in the the Italian mountain village Belmonte Calabron facing the challenges of European rural depopulation and integration of the refugee’s arriving on the italian Southern Coast. This is the second phase of a 3-year long collaboration between London Metropolitan University, Belmonte Calabro municipality, with the help of locally based nonprofitassociation Le Seppie.
