The OSTHANG PROJECT opens an international and transdisciplinary platform for rethinking future modalities of “living together” in a pluri-centered world. Set up as a summer school and festivals, this month-long project brings together knowledges and experiences from the fields of architecture, social and political sciences, economics, philosophy, activism and the arts as well as experimental building and life practices from around the world. In close proximity to the historical site of the Darmstadt Artists’ Colonu (1899-1914), the OSTHANG PROJECT proposes public debate, theory and practice in and around one vital question: how can we build a sustainable global future of living together?
Starting with an experimental building project and summer school in the beginning of July 2014, the OSTHANG PROJECT will provide from mid July till mid August public meetings, dialogues, presentations, lectures, workshops, interventions, performances, film screenings, breakfast, lunch and dinner as part of a program curated by Berno Odo Polzer and Jan Liesegang (raumlaborberlin).
An open call for participating at the summer school will be launched soon, stay tuned!
